*"ONE CHANCE": POLICE ARREST 2 IN LEKKI, RECOVER STOLEN CAR* *As Victim Identifies Suspect* The operatives of the Lagos State Police Command attached to Ilasan Division on 3rd August, 2021, at about 9.30am arrested two (2) suspected armed robbers, Samson Tella, m, 37 and Raphael John, m,  21, who specialize in One Chance robbery and have been terrorising Lekki/Ajah axis of Lagos State. According to statement signed by the police pubic relations officer Lagos state Cps Olumuyiwa Adejobi ( Mnipr) signed on 5th august 2021 circulated on social media  The suspected armed robbers on 2nd August, 2021, at 9.30pm attacked the owner of a Toyota Corrolla car Reg No. JJJ 242 FW, at Ikate Area of Lagos, took over the steering, drove him to ATM at Ikate and withdrew the sum of twenty thousand naira only (#20,000) from the account of the victim. LAWMA GETS COMPACTOR TRUCKS

Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu today commissioned 102 brand new Locally assembled compactor trucks and 100 Double Dino Bins for the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) at the Sports Ground, Lagos House, Ikeja.  The 102-brand new waste collection vehicles comprising 30(nos) of 12 Cubic meter Compactor Trucks, 60(nos) of 24 cubic meter compactor trucks and 12(nos) Hook Loaders, and 100 double dino bins. All the trucks are locally assembled in Lagos, Nigeria here and drivers and their assistants have been trained to troubleshoot and fix simple issues that might arise as they move around the State. Each vehicle also has trackers for effective monitoring.  The  average compactor truck can carry 10 tons of waste (most usually carry less), this implies that we need to make more than 1,300 compactor trips daily to provide an effective waste collection service.  This commissioning is encapsulated in the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administ
