  Wale Adelana Hails Supreme Court Judgement on Local Government Financial Autonomy By Dada Babajide Razak  APC Chieftain Hon. Wale Adelana has applauded the Supreme Court verdict on local Government financial autonomy in Nigeria.  Speaking on Radio Nigeria Network News on July 11, 2024, he said the verdict is a victory for the people and would impact on the growth of Nigeria's democracy.  He further said the direct allocation to the LGs would enable them to carry out infrastructural development projects in their locality unlike in the recent past when some of them complained of paucity of funds due to the mismanagement associated with the LG funds under the present Joint Account Committee JAC system through which disbursement is done by the various state governments. He mentioned it specifically, that many states have been denying the LGs, the mandatory 10% of revenue from the state.
