The race toward the finals intensified at Sansan Field, Igando, as Sterling City FC and Mbah Logistics FC secured the remaining semi-final slots at the ongoing Bet9ja Foundation Igando/Idimu Soccer Fiesta 2025. The December 2nd fixtures delivered drama, passion, and football of the highest grassroots quality.

Sterling City FC Edge Casamingoos Sports

Sterling City FC booked their place in the last four following a disciplined 1–0 victory over Casamingoos Sports.

The opening half saw both sides fail to convert clear-cut chances, leaving the scoreline goalless at the break. The game eventually tilted in Sterling’s favour when Farouk Yussuf broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute of the second half, unleashing a superb strike that proved decisive.

Yussuf’s commanding presence in midfield, coupled with his match-winning moment, earned him the Man of the Match Award, as Sterling City FC held firm to see out the contest.

Mbah Logistics FC Prevail in Thriller Against Sansan Boys

The second quarter-final produced one of the tournament’s most gripping encounters as Mbah Logistics FC overcame Sansan Boys FC on penalties after a pulsating 2–2 draw in regulation time.

Mbah Logistics drew first blood in the 27th minute through Samson Kayode, whose clinical finish gave his side a first-half advantage.

Sansan Boys responded emphatically after the restart, driven by the brilliance of Sheun Makinwa. The forward struck twice—in the 53rd and 65th minutes—to turn the game on its head and hand Sansan Boys a 2–1 lead. His attacking flair and impact earned him the Man of the Match accolade for the second encounter.

However, Mbah Logistics refused to surrender. Their relentless pressure paid off when Shayo Idowu powered home an equaliser in the 73rd minute, sending the supporters into an eruption of mixed emotions.

With the match locked at 2–2, the tension escalated into a dramatic penalty shootout.

Mbah Logistics held their nerve, converting 5 out of 5attempts, while Sansan Boys faltered once—handing Logistics a hard-earned 5–4 victory and a ticket to the semi-finals.
