December 7, 2025, will remain etched in the memories of football fans across Igando as the Bet9ja Foundation UnityCup, Igando–Idimu Soccer Fiesta Season 2 concluded in grand style at the Sansan Field, Igando. The highly anticipated finale delivered top-class grassroots football, thrilling moments, and a celebration of community sport at its finest.
The final lived up to expectations, drawing hundreds of passionate supporters who cheered relentlessly for their teams in a vibrant yet peaceful atmosphere. Mrs. Olori Oloyede Sandra, Bet9ja Master Agent in Alimosho, performed the ceremonial kick-off, as at exactly 3:00 p.m., the centre referee signalled the start of an epic contest to decide the Season 2 champions.
The first half was fiercely contested, with both sides sizing each other up and displaying impressive tactical discipline and technical quality. Chances were created at both ends, keeping fans on edge, but the opening 45 minutes ended in a goalless draw.
Mbah Logistics FC emerged with renewed intensity in the second half, adopting a more assertive tactical approach. Their pressure paid off in the 68th minute when Gozie Ononivu fired home a powerful strike to score the decisive goal. The moment sparked wild celebrations among supporters and ultimately secured Mbah Logistics FC the championship title.
Earlier in the day, the third-place playoff between Wolves FC and Kings FC ended 1–1 in regulation time. Usman Lawal had given Wolves FC the lead in the 26th minute, before Ameachi Okafor netted a late equaliser for Kings FC in the 70th minute. Wolves FC eventually claimed the bronze medal after winning the penalty shootout 3–0, finishing with a 4–1 score on penalties.
At the awards ceremony, outstanding performers of the tournament were duly recognised:

Most Valuable Player: Gozie Ononivu (Mbah Logistics FC)
Best Goalkeeper: Olamilekan Gafar “Alake” (Sterling City FC)
Best Coach: Opeyemi Durojaiye (Mbah Logistics FC)
The grand finale attracted several dignitaries from within and outside Igando-Ikotun LCDA, including the Igando-Ikotun LCDA Chairman, Snr. Comrade Lasis Ayinde Akinsanya, represented by the Chief of Staff, Mr. Oloyede Ahmed. Others in attendance were the chairman of bet9ja master agents in alimosho Mr Yakubu Azeez,"AZ" , the immediate past Vice Chairman hon mojisola ayinke badmus, Hon. Tajudeen Ayodele, Leader of the Igando-Ikotun Legislature; Hon. Opebiyi Oluwatosin, Deputy Leader; Hon. Olawale Hassan, Majority Leader; Mr. Sisoemo Samson P.A. to the Executive Chairman Ikotun-Igando lcda, Comrade Arowoshafe Adeshina, NULGE Chairman, Igando-Ikotun LCDA and Chairman of Chairmen, NULGE Lagos State. Also present at the finals is Bet9ja Master Super Agent Olori Oloyede Sandra and Mr. Ademeso Oluwagbenga, and several other notable community leaders.
In his vote of thanks, Raimi Olasunkanmi(ROLAG)Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), expressed deep appreciation to members of the LOC for their integrity and dedication, the participating teams for their discipline and fair play, the sponsors for their unwavering support, and the fans for maintaining peace and exemplary sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
