* ISOLO GRAMMAR SCHOOL SET 87/88 HOLDS END OF YEAR GET-TOGETHER / DELIBERATIONS*   _Dada Babajide Reports_  Old students of Isolo grammar school 87,88 sets held it's end of year deliberations and get together party on 26th December at Ire-Akari estate Isolo,Lagos.   The old colleague used the occasion to have their quarterly meeting where cogent decisions were decided for the smooth running of the re-union . Some members gave testimonies of the benefits they have gotten from the union during their turbulent moments ,one of which was a member whose sight was restored through a surgical operations,  they all showed  appreciation to their colleagues and prayed God would continue to strengthen the re-union . Activities such as health talk, sub-mounting life challenges and special prayer session for members  were part of the programme which added glamour to the meeting . HISTORIC TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION IN OSHODI-ISOLO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA  The celebration of Teachers' Day may have come and gone but the coloration of the events as experienced by teachers in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government continues to linger. The Progressives Teachers Movement (PTM), a sub group of Nigeria Union of Teachers in the local government changed the status quo of the celebration with innovations, commemorating the Teachers Day Celebration this year which was highly applauded and greatly honoured.  Mr Akinmade Kayode, President of the Progressives Teachers Movement (PTM) took this year's celebration seriously, with the Education Authorities focusing more on improving the welfare and the working conditions of the teachers in and across the state and the country at large. Former council chairman oshodi-Isolo local government Hon.Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh paid condolence visit to the residence of deceased community leaders in Mafoluku Alhaji Abdul Azeez Dosumu who dies on 23rd November and has since been buried according to Muslim rite . He condole with the family for the great loss as the contribution of the late octogenarian contribution to the development of Oshodi community cannot be overemphasizes, he said this  shortly after the deceased was burried and joined family, friends and political associates to offered prayer to the departed soul. *"ONE CHANCE": POLICE ARREST 2 IN LEKKI, RECOVER STOLEN CAR* *As Victim Identifies Suspect* The operatives of the Lagos State Police Command attached to Ilasan Division on 3rd August, 2021, at about 9.30am arrested two (2) suspected armed robbers, Samson Tella, m, 37 and Raphael John, m,  21, who specialize in One Chance robbery and have been terrorising Lekki/Ajah axis of Lagos State. LAWMA GETS COMPACTOR TRUCKS

Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu today commissioned 102 brand new Locally assembled compactor trucks and 100 Double Dino Bins for the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) at the Sports Ground, Lagos House, Ikeja.  The 102-brand new waste collection vehicles comprising 30(nos) of 12 Cubic meter Compactor Trucks, 60(nos) of 24 cubic meter compactor trucks and 12(nos) Hook Loaders, and 100 double dino bins. All the trucks are locally assembled in Lagos, Nigeria here and drivers and their assistants have been trained to troubleshoot and fix simple issues that might arise as they move around the State. Each vehicle also has trackers for effective monitoring.  The  average compactor truck can carry 10 tons of waste (most usually carry less), this implies that we need to make more than 1,300 compactor trips daily to provide an effective waste collection service.  This commissioning is encapsulated in the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administ
