FG gives Ogun state government nod to repair Ota-Abeokuta express way

OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT GET NODS TO REPAIR LAGOS-OTA - ABEOKUTA EXPRESS WAY

 by Dada Babajide

The pains being experience by commuters on ota-Abeokuta express way would soon be a thing of history as Hon.Minister of works Dave Umahi announced approval for Ogun state govt to commence repair of the express road .

After the second FEC meeting presided by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu the honorable minister said " eight roads that were started by the past administration for a concession that have gone through all the process were also approved . The financial closure will be reached in the month of November "

" there were nine actually but one was pulled out, that is Lagos -ota- Abeokuta and that has been given to Ogun state government based on their request that they should do the roads on their own and they will follow the HDMI that is hardware development initiative"

Ogun state Government will rebuild the road and toll it as a result there will be no refund from the FG.

The road from the toll gate inward ABEOKUTA has been in deplorable conditions and has affected economic prowess of the two state especially commuters who travels the road for activities .

Tolling the road after completion is another angle which the people feels is a cheat on the sensibility of the people who have suffered enough hardship while the government abstained from his responsibility of providing accessible roads for Nigerians .

They keep their hands akimbo and waits for the swift reactions by the state government and hope it would not end as unfinished projects for the years to come and urged Lagos state government to do same and repair it's side of the express from Abule Egba to sango toll gate which has become a shame to acclaimed state of excellence.
