  LASG APPROVES 25% DISCOUNT FOR REGULATED BUS AND RAIL TRANSPORT FARES  By Dada Babajide Razak  Following the recent announcement by LAMATA on suspension of 50% discount transport fare on government regulated bus and transport which ended on November 5, 2023 (over the weekend ). Lagos state government Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved a 25% discount in transport fare for regulated bus and rail transport beginning Tuesday , 7th November 2023 as gesture over the criticism that followed the announcement of the suspension of the 50% discount which the people enjoyed since August 2nd , 2023. According to press release by Kolawole Ojelabi  Head Corporate communication LAMATA , on the corporate X handle , he stated, following appeals to the Governor, he has extended the passenger fare reduction by 25% across the regulated bus and rail transport services until another review is announced .

  BRT TRANSPORT FARE COMMENCE FULL CHARGES ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 6TH 2023            By Dada Babajide Razak  The transport fare rebate of Lagos state government would end on Sunday 5th November while normal charges would take effect from 6th November ,2023 . According to PUBLIC NOTICE by Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority ( LAMATA) the transport fare will return to pre-August 2023 rate with effect from November 6th 2023 PUBLIC NOTICE  50% Transport Rebate Ending This Sunday The 50% rebate in transport fare in the regulated transport system in Lagos ends on Sunday, a statement by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has said. The 50% fare rebate was announced by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on 2nd August 2023. The public is hereby informed that from Monday, 6th November 2023, transport fare will return to the pre-2nd August 2023 rate. LAMATA .
