Oshodi cheers Super Eagles to victory

 NATIONS CUP 2023: OSHODI CHEERS SUPER EAGLES TO VICTORY

The atmosphere at the "Lagos ISSA GOAL 2023" viewing center at Afolabi Primary School, Brown Street in Oshodi-Isolo local government was in a carnival mood as football enthusiasts cheered Super Eagles to victory to earn a place in the quarter-final of the competition.

The historic event and first of its kind in the history of Oshodi metropolis was filled as sports lovers trooped to the venue before the kickoff with high expectations of victory for their darling team, Super Eagles of Nigeria 

Aside from the beautiful atmosphere with a large beautiful screen, clear audio sound, security and peaceful serenity, fans enjoyed their moments with free refreshments and recharge cards for lucky winners courtesy of SSA to Lagos State Governor on Grassroots Sports, Hon. Adebanji Atewogboye SKIBANJ.

The expectations of the fans were kindled with a 1-0 victory over their opponent, in the tension-soaked match that was dominatedby the Super Eagles' artistic display of football with many losses of goal-scoring opportunities.

Although two goals by the Super Eagles of Nigeria was cancelled due to offside rules, but this did not deny the Nigeria team the desired 3 points which placed the team second in the group with seven points behind Equatorial Guinea which roasted the home team Ivory coast with four goals to nil and thereby, topped the group.

In his response after the encounter, Hon. Atewogboye who was overwhelmed with the crowd turnout promised more of this laudable sports programs to acquaint the grassroots with the Lagos state sports programs. 

He further assured sports lovers that they would enjoy all the remaining matches of the competition, including the final at the "Lagos ISSA GOAL 2023" project initiated by Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu's administration.

Fans at the Oshodi venue of the viewing center appreciated the laudable program, were full of praises to Hon. Atewogboye for his vision and competence demonstrated to Oshodi residents and promised to turn up for the remaining matches of the competition with high hopes that Super Eagles would win the competition for a record of fourth time.
