Councillor felicitates Muslims on commencement of Ramadan

 HON. KHADIJAT FUNKE JIMOH FELICITATES MUSLIMS AT THE COMMENCEMENT OF RAMADAN

The Councillor representing Ogunoloko ward in Oshodi-Isolo Local government, Lagos state has sent a congratulatory message to Muslims across the world as the sight of the new moon for the month of Ramadan was announced by the Spiritual Leader of Muslims in Nigeria and President General Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Saad Abubakar which translated to the commencement of the annual Ramadan fasting by the Muslim faithful on March 11th 2024.

“…So whoever sights (the new moon of) the month (of Ramadan), let him fast it…” Quran 2:185

Speaking to our correspondence via phone, she enjoined Muslim faithfuls to use the holy month for spiritual improvement with Allah, showed more empathy ,love and pray for adequate peace and tranquility, economic improvement etc, and our leaders be blessed with wisdom to lead us right.

"Oh, you who believe! Fasting isn't prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you may learn piety and righteousness" (Q 2:183)

She thanked the great people of Ogunoloko ward whom she represents at the Oshodi-Isolo LG Legislature for their support and prayers, promised to do more for her community very soon .

"As a two-term Councillor, I would continue to appreciate the great people of Ogunoloko ward for their unflinching support and believing in my ability as their councilor, I promised not to take such love for granted and be rest assured of more dividends of democracy "

Ondo state : Gov. Aiyedatiwa campaign coordinator assassinated

BREAKING: Ondo State Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s Campaign Coordinator Assassinated By Babajide Razak Dada Alaba Excel Abbey, one of the campaign coordinators of incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state, has been assassinated. Mr Abbey, who served as a ward coordinator for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot-Soldiers (LACO-SF), was killed at his home in Supare Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area. According to news on social media  the deceased was the returning officer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 10 in the recently concluded primary of the governing party. A younger brother to the deceased, Mr Samuel Abbey, who confirmed the sad development, revealed that the politician was shot at the front of his house. EFCC DECLARES YAHAYA BELLO WHO IS HIDING IN KOGI GOVT HOUSE, WANTED By Dada Babajide Razak  Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is wanted by the EFCC for offences relating to economic and financial crimes to the tune of N80.2 Billion. Anybody with information as to his whereabout should please report immediately to the Commission or the nearest Police Station.  YayaBello was currently assumed to be hiding inside the Kogi Government House under the shield of his co-thief, Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo  The antigraft agency has threaten to use military involvement to arrest him if doesn't present himself to face prosecution .
