 LAGOS CONF. 57 CPS GETS NEW EXECUTIVES; COMMEND COUNCIL CHAIRMEN FOR CONTINUOS IMPACT

Comr. Kamaldeen Iyanda Abdulsalam,CPS Ifelodun LCDA emerged newly inaugurated Chairman

The Conference 57 Chief Press Secretaries, Lagos State, has inaugurated new executives to steer the affairs of the association. In an elaborate ceremony which was held at the legislative chamber of Ifelodun LCDA on November 27th, 2024 which was witness by past and present CPS in Lagos. The karmaldeen Iyanda Abdul Salaam succeeded Ayodele Ayeyemi ( Cps Yaba ) executives .The newly inaugurated Chairman, will lead the team of executives which includes:

- Ayorinde Akadiri - Deputy Chairman

- Olushoga Olushola - Vice Chairman Central

- Onanuga Ayotunde - Vice Chairman East

- Oseni Eniola - Vice Chairman West

- Tunmise Sanyaolu - General Secretary

- Jubril Idris - Assistant General Secretary

- Mosunmola Olabige - Financial Secretary

- Areh Abdulhamid - Treasurer

- Komolafe Ayodele - Public Relations Officer (PRO)

- Abdul-Lateef Abdus-Salaam - PRO 2

- Bello Akinkunmi - Organising Secretary

- Gbenga Soloki - Ex-Officio

- Tokunbo Ajayi - Ex-Officio

- Oluwole Obisanya - Ex-Officio

In his remarks, Deputy Chairman Solomon Zosu commended the council chairmen for their continuous impact on the association. The appointment of these executives was based on a free and fair process, devoid of bias or prejudice. Our selection committee worked tirelessly to identify the most qualified and dedicated individuals at senatorial levels to lead our association forward. He said

"Let us remain committed to the principles of excellence, integrity, and service that have defined our association," he said.

Zosu also commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his vision for a greater Lagos, which has inspired the association to strive for excellence.

"More also, I want to, on behalf of the Conf. 57 Chief Press Secretaries, thank our Chief host for today, the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun LCDA, Mayor Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo, whose CPS is taking over the mantle of leadership for the association today. This wouldn't have been achieved but for your cooperation. We thank you for hosting us too". Zosu said

Mr. Tunde Akere, the Pioneer Conf. 57 CPS while administering the oath of office advised the new executives to remain focused. 

'As you assume your new roles, I charge you to remain focused, transparent, and accountable in your decision-making processes. Said Akere.

The new Conf. 57 CPS Chairman, Comr. Kamaldeen Iyanda Abdulsalam, in his inaugural speech, promised to take the association to greater heights. 

"We will work tirelessly to promote the interests of our members and the Lagos State Government. We will also strive to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in our official conduct." He expressed 

The inauguration ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including the pioneer of Conf. 57 CPS, Mr. Tunde Akere and BOT Chairman, Hon.Odufowokan Oluwaseyi aka Speaker. Other founding members including ,Comr. Tijani Saheed aka Seedorf ( SSA to Lagos state Governor on wealth creation ) and member of the BOT and Elders Forum Hon.Seyi Odufowokan ,Mr. Babajide Razak Dada, Oyejobi Olajide Olakunle, Opeyemi Azeez, and others who have contributed to the growth and development of the association were all in attendance

The immediate past chairman of the group Cps Ayodele Ayeyemi ( Yaba LCDA) and CPS Oseni Ajimomuya ( Shomolu LG) Chairman emeritus were conspicuously absent due to Official engagement sent their farewell messages and wished the new executives a successful tenure in office 

Conference 57 CPS was formed some years ago to compliment the activities of chairmen in respective local Government and LCDA'S  through information dissemination to keep residents in their communities updated with activities in grassroots administration.

Ondo state : Gov. Aiyedatiwa campaign coordinator assassinated

BREAKING: Ondo State Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s Campaign Coordinator Assassinated By Babajide Razak Dada Alaba Excel Abbey, one of the campaign coordinators of incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state, has been assassinated. Mr Abbey, who served as a ward coordinator for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot-Soldiers (LACO-SF), was killed at his home in Supare Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area. According to news on social media  the deceased was the returning officer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 10 in the recently concluded primary of the governing party. A younger brother to the deceased, Mr Samuel Abbey, who confirmed the sad development, revealed that the politician was shot at the front of his house. EFCC DECLARES YAHAYA BELLO WHO IS HIDING IN KOGI GOVT HOUSE, WANTED By Dada Babajide Razak  Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is wanted by the EFCC for offences relating to economic and financial crimes to the tune of N80.2 Billion. Anybody with information as to his whereabout should please report immediately to the Commission or the nearest Police Station.  YayaBello was currently assumed to be hiding inside the Kogi Government House under the shield of his co-thief, Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo  The antigraft agency has threaten to use military involvement to arrest him if doesn't present himself to face prosecution . In the same vein ,the federal government of Nigeria has advised the wanted former governor to submit himself for interrogation to efcc.
