 Lagos State House of Assembly names new principal officers 

*Former speaker and two legislators absent 

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.Lasbat Mojisola, has announced new principal officers following the dissolution of the former committee. 

The new appointments were : 

Hon.Temitope Adedeji (Ifako Ijaiye 1) as Majority Leader, 

Hon. Richard Kasumu (Ikeja 2) as Deputy Majority Leader, 

Hon. Sanni Babatunde (Kosofe 1) as Deputy Chief Whip, 

Hon. Sentoji David (Badagry 2) as Chief Whip.

The House also set up a Selection Committee to appoint the Standing Committees. The Committee is chaired by the Speaker of the House.Others are Deputy Speaker, Fatai Mojeed; Majority leader,Temitope Adedeji; Chief Whip,Sentoji David; Aina Musbau; Gbolahon Yishawu and Acting Clerk, Abubakar Taiwo Otun as the secretary of the committee.

The unveiling of the new leadership marks a significant step in the state’s legislative journey.

As the new principal officers assume their roles, expectations are high for a dynamic and responsive Assembly that prioritizes the needs of Lagosians.

In today's session , the former speaker Rt .Hon.Mudasiru Obasa , Hon.Nureni Akinsanya ( Mushin 2) nad former Majority leader Hon.Naheem Adams were absent .

Ondo state : Gov. Aiyedatiwa campaign coordinator assassinated

BREAKING: Ondo State Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s Campaign Coordinator Assassinated By Babajide Razak Dada Alaba Excel Abbey, one of the campaign coordinators of incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state, has been assassinated. Mr Abbey, who served as a ward coordinator for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot-Soldiers (LACO-SF), was killed at his home in Supare Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area. According to news on social media  the deceased was the returning officer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 10 in the recently concluded primary of the governing party. A younger brother to the deceased, Mr Samuel Abbey, who confirmed the sad development, revealed that the politician was shot at the front of his house. Former governor declared wanted by efcc

EFCC DECLARES YAHAYA BELLO WHO IS HIDING IN KOGI GOVT HOUSE, WANTED By Dada Babajide Razak  Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is wanted by the EFCC for offences relating to economic and financial crimes to the tune of N80.2 Billion. Anybody with information as to his whereabout should please report immediately to the Commission or the nearest Police Station.  YayaBello was currently assumed to be hiding inside the Kogi Government House under the shield of his co-thief, Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo  The antigraft agency has threaten to use military involvement to arrest him if doesn't present himself to face prosecution . In the same vein ,the federal government of Nigeria has advised the wanted former governor to submit himself for interrogation to efcc.
