 Thrills and Tension as Nath Boys, Emaljus Shine in 1xCup Weekend Showdown

Football fans were treated to a spectacular weekend of action at the Inspire Sports Arena, Cappa–Oshodi, as the last round of matches for the week produced thrilling goal feast and dramatic twists.


In the opening clash, Nath Boys FC outclassed Community Gunners, sealing a convincing 4–2 victory in front of a roaring crowd. The second fixture saw Emaljus FC dominate ECAS FC, cruising to a 2–0 triumph. The encounter, however, was marred by chaos, as ECAS had three players sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct, leaving their campaign hanging by a thread.


Drama unfolded before the third game, as Emiloju FC was sensationally disqualified by the organizers for violating competition rules, handing ISAG Athletics Club a walkover

With the race to the quarter-finals heating up, more action-packed fixtures will resume on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week. Fans are urged to mark their calendars, reshuffle their schedules, and brace themselves for another round of electrifying grassroots football.

Adding glamour to the day’s event were former Super Eagles stars, including Fetus Odinni, Wasiu Ipaye, Monday Kalu, Godwin Opara, etc , who graced the arena and thrilled spectators with their presence.
