 Drama at Inspire Arena: Dosu Joseph Stun, Collins Edwin Hold Firm, Inspire Sports Beaten

The second and third match of of the day ( Tuesday) at the ongoing 1XCUP 2025 lived up to its billing at the Inspire Sports Arena, treating fans to a spectacle of goals, drama, and surprises.

In the opening clash of the day, Dosu Joseph FC bounced back in style, recording a convincing 3–0 victory over Soccer Cardinals FC, sealing their first win of the tournament in emphatic fashion.


The shock of the day came in the second fixture as Vinmo Energy stunned the home side, Inspire Sports Academy, in a thrilling contest that ended 2–1. Despite the huge home support, Inspire Academy failed to capitalize on their chances, leaving the visitors to celebrate a famous win.

Elsewhere, Collins Edwin FC struck twice in the first half,and another one in second half to make it three goals racing to a commanding lead against Natt Boys. Although Natt Boys pulled two back in the second half to threaten a comeback, Collins Edwin’s solid defensive play ensured they walked away with all three points in a 3–2 victory.


Fans can look forward to another round of blockbuster matches on Wednesday as the group stage action continues. 

The venue remains Inspire Sports Arena, Cappa–Oshodi, with the first kick-off set for 12 noon.
