The city of Lagos came alive as Ikorodu City FA lifted the 4th Edition of the 1xCup, capping an unforgettable football fiesta at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.


In a thrilling encounter that kept fans on their toes, Ikorodu City FA outclassed ISGAT Athletics to claim the coveted ₦10 million grand prize and the majestic giant silver trophy, cementing their place as champions of grassroots football excellence.

From the opening whistle, the Ikorodu boys displayed incredible composure, tactical discipline, and attacking flair. They dominated possession, pressed high, and created several chances, but the first half ended goalless as ISGAT Athletics defended bravely.

The breakthrough finally came 22 minutes into the second half, when a thunderous strike from Ikorodu’s forward found the net, sending the crowd into ecstatic celebration. From then on, they never looked back — controlling the game till the final whistle to emerge 1xCup2025 champions in grand style.

Earlier in the day, Dosu Joseph FC thrilled fans with a dramatic comeback, overturning an early deficit to defeat Natt Boys FC 2–1 and secure third place.



Fans were also treated to a nostalgic celebrity exhibition match, where the Lagos Legends Club — featuring ex-Super Eagles and Nigerian stars — edged Ilupeju All Stars 5–3 on penalties after a spirited contest.
