The much-anticipated 1xCup2025 competition has reached its peak as Ikorodu City FA and ISGAT Athletics booked their places in the grand finale after two pulsating semifinal encounters at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.

 *Ikorodu City Triumph Over Nath Boys in Penalty Thriller* 

The opening semi-final of the clash between Ikorodu City FA and Nath Boys FC lived up to its billing, producing moments of intense football artistry and nerves of steel.


Both sides played out a 1–1 draw in regulation time, with goals from both ends keeping the large crowd on the edge of their seats. However, when it came down to penalties, Ikorodu City FA held their composure, converting five perfect spot-kicks to defeat Nath Boys FC 5–3, sealing the first ticket to the final.

Their goalkeeper’s crucial save and the team’s calm execution from the spot drew thunderous applause from fans who had packed the Onikan stands to capacity.

 *Farouk Jimoh Fires ISGAT Athletics into the Final* 

The second semifinal saw ISGAT Athletics outclass Dosu Joseph FC in a thrilling display of pace, precision, and determination.


After a goalless first half, ISGAT found their rhythm in the second half, breaking the deadlock before Farouk Jimoh doubled their advantage in the 22nd minute, sending their supporters into wild celebration.

The match ended 2–0 in favour of ISGAT Athletics, who now join Ikorodu City FA in what promises to be an explosive finale.
