By Dada Babajide. R

The Ara Care & Share Initiatives’ five-day community impact programme, facilitated by the Councillor representing Ewu Ward, Hon. Adegboyega Rashidat Adewusi, in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area, was formally brought to a close on Friday, December 20, 2025, with a Children’s Christmas Funfair held at Aina Street, Ladipo.

The programme, which commenced on December 15, 2025, unfolded as a deliberate and people-centred intervention that celebrated love, care, and community cohesion across Ewu Ward. Activities over the five days included a community clean-up exercise, free medical outreach, empowerment and care for widows and the elderly, and culminated in a colourful celebration of unity and joy with children drawn from across the community.

At the grand finale, children were treated to a memorable festive experience, complete with food, gifts, music, games, and entertainment. The atmosphere reflected shared happiness and communal warmth, creating lasting memories for the young participants and reinforcing the spirit of togetherness within the ward.

Beyond the events themselves, the significance of the Ara Care & Share Initiatives lies in its broader message: a call to conscious, accessible, and responsive grassroots leadership. The initiative underscores the responsibility of elected office holders particularly councillors to remain visible, approachable, and actively engaged with the everyday realities of their constituents through sustained interaction and genuine care.

In her vote of thanks, Hon. Adegboyega Rashidat Adewusi expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah and offered prayers for mercy upon the souls of her late parents, with special tribute to her mother, whom she described as a committed grassroots politician who served the people of Ewu Ward and Oshodi-Isolo with passion and dedication.

She further appreciated the Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede, for his exemplary leadership and support; the Elewu of Ewu Land, His Royal Majesty Oba Shakiru Kuti, for his royal blessings and fatherly guidance; her colleagues in the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government legislative arm; members of the Ara Care & Share Initiatives committee; her immediate family; and numerous stakeholders whose collective efforts contributed to the success of the programme.

Hon. Adegboyega Rashidat Adewusi reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to the people of Ewu Ward, assuring residents of continued service driven by innovative ideas and people-focused initiatives aimed at sustainable community development.
