Sansan Field, Igando, erupted into pure football theatre as fans witnessed one of the most dramatic semi-final days in the history of the Bet9ja Foundation Igando/Idimu Soccer Fiesta 2025 on December 4th, 2025

The first semi-final delivered a record-breaking 23-goal thriller, with Sterling City FC securing the first ticket to the grand finale.

Sterling City set the tone early—Farouk Yussuf struck in the 3rd minute, followed by Hassan Hussain doubling the lead in the 13th minute. Wolves FC roared back through Usman Lawal (20’) and Gabriel Ayaniyi (24’) to level the intensity.

Just before halftime, Frank Yussuf restored Sterling City's advantage, handing them a tightly contested 3–2 lead at the break.

The second half turned into a tense tactical battle. Wolves’ sustained pressure forced an own goal in the 80th minute, dragging the match into a gripping penalty shootout.

Both teams showcased elite composure from the spot, but Sterling City FC triumphed 12–11, converting nine penalties to Wolves’ eight, and marched into the finals.

Kings FC Fight Back, But Mbah Logistics Seal It on Penalties


The second semi-final was equally breathtaking a 3–3 full-time spectacle packed with drama and late heroics.

Mbah Logistics took early control with Ojo Busayo’s 12th-minute strike, which stood as the only goal of the first half.

The second half exploded into life as Akeem Lateef levelled for Kings FC. But Mbah Logistics responded instantly with two swift blows—Ojo Busayo (57’) and Abayomi Kehinde (70’)—stretching the lead to 3–1.

Just when the match seemed sealed, Kings FC mounted a remarkable late comeback.

Oyebamiji Abass curled in a free kick in the 79th minute, and in the dying seconds of stoppage time, Opeyemi Taofeek buried a dramatic equaliser to send the stadium into a frenzy.

Penalty drama followed, and Mbah Logistics FC held their nerve, edging Kings FC 7–6, converting four spot kicks to Kings’ three.
