The Intimate Pillars Club, an association of young men based in Mafoluku, Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area, and widely known for its humanitarian and social impact initiatives, on December 28, 2025, distributed food items to residents within the Makinde axis of Mafoluku as part of its Community Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
Speaking on behalf of the club’s president, Ottun Faruq, the former secretary of the association, Hon.Oluseyi Babatunde, explained that the club has consistently engaged in various community-focused initiatives including bursary support, medical outreaches, and social assistance. He noted that for the 2025 edition of its CSR activities, the association opted to provide food items to a limited number of residents through an orderly, first-come-first-served process at the club’s Makinde office.
By 8:00 a.m., residents who were informed about the programme arrived at the venue and were promptly attended to. Each beneficiary received five kilograms of rice and a quantity of garri, a measure that ensured smooth distribution and prevented overcrowding.
Several beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the club for the timely gesture, particularly during the festive season, and offered prayers for continued strength and prosperity for the members.
The CSR activity was followed by a novelty football match among club members, divided into Group A and Group B, held at the Muritala Muhammed Airport School playing field, opposite MM2. The match was played in a lively and friendly atmosphere, with family members, including the wives of club members, present to offer moral support.
The first half of the encounter ended goalless, while the second half produced two goals from Alabi “Authority” of Group B, who featured in a white jersey with blue stripes. The 40-minute game ended with Group B defeating Group A by two goals to nil.
At the end of the match, the winning team was presented with a golden trophy, medals, and a cash prize of ₦100,000. Club President, Otun Farouk, commended members for their unity, cooperation, and unwavering commitment to the vision and objectives of the association.
Members of the Board of Trustees, Alabi Kazeem and Ololade Yusuf, also praised the spirit of love and shared purpose within the group. They emphasized that all participants were winners and encouraged members to embrace regular physical exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle.
The event concluded with a joint photo session involving both teams, families, and friends who attended the match. Members later returned to the club’s Makinde office, where guests and members were hosted to a feast, refreshments, and celebrations in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.
