Oshodi–Isolo Residents Raise Security Alarm Over Mysterious Recurrent Movements in Mafoluku

By DD Media Insight

Residents of the Oshodi–Mafoluku axis in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State have raised fresh security concerns over the repeated presence and unusual movements of an unidentified middle-aged man within several streets in the community.

The individual is reportedly seen at different times of the day roaming through Mafoluku Road, Isolo-Animi, Eweje, Raimi Owora Street, Old Ewu Road, Eyinogun, Oludegun Road( Domino) Mafoluku Junction, and the 7/8 Bus Stop area, often without any clear destination or engagement.

A concerned resident, who brought the matter to the attention of DD Media Insight, disclosed that the individual has been observed consistently from November last year to date, prompting fears that the pattern of movement may warrant closer scrutiny by relevant authorities.

According to the source, residents within the Mafoluku community are largely familiar with one another, making the repeated appearance of an unfamiliar face a cause for concern, particularly given the prevailing security challenges across the country, including incidents of kidnapping and other criminal activities.

The source further stated that the matter was reportedly brought to the attention of the Raimi Owora/Eweje Community Development Association (CDA), but alleged that no decisive action has yet been taken.

Security experts emphasize that early vigilance remains a key component of crime prevention, urging communities to promptly flag suspicious movements for proper investigation rather than speculation or confrontation.

DD Media Insight therefore calls on the Raimi Owora/Eweje CDA, and other CDA in the  mentioned streets  in collaboration with Oshodi-Isolo Local Government authorities and relevant law enforcement agencies, to urgently verify the claims, identify the individual, and determine the purpose of his movements in line with the law.

Security, experts insist, is a shared responsibility. When residents observe unusual patterns, reporting promptly allows authorities to act early and prevent potential threats.

“If you see something, say something — and let the authorities do the rest.”
