Valentine’s Day Like Never Before:Hon.Adegboyega Storms Ewu Ward in Oshodi-Isolo LG with Cash Support for Traders, Elderly, Children
It was a Valentine’s Day celebration with a remarkable difference in Ewu Ward in Oshodi-Isolo LG as Hon. Adegboyega Rashidat Adewusi (ARA) marked the occasion with a grassroots business support initiative aimed at uplifting small-scale entrepreneurs within the community.
By 10:00 a.m., the ARA team, alongside ward members and supporters, commenced a tour from Aina Street, moving across the four zone of the ward which includes :- jacob taiwo, subairu, Ajisegiri, Bello, Odalume, Shopeju, Oyewunmi Ogefun, Oyegunwa, Arowojobe, Adeyinka Allen, Ileshomi, Oba Elewu way, Kalejaiye, Aremu Olatunbosun, Babayanju, Ogundele, Diran Alake, Wuraola etc
At various stopovers, the Councillor identified petty traders and small business owners, presenting them with token cash support as a gesture of love and economic encouragement.
The outreach extended beyond business owners.
Elderly residents and children were also beneficiaries of the Valentine initiative, reinforcing the message that love should be practical, inclusive, and community-driven.
For many recipients, the 2026 Valentine’s Day will be remembered as the moment unexpected kindness knocked on their doorsteps. Several beneficiaries expressed heartfelt appreciation, commending Hon. Adegboyega for her compassion, people-oriented programs, and consistent engagement with constituents.
They offered prayers for continued wisdom, strength, and protection in her service to the ward. Residents warmly welcomed the Councillor and her entourage, joining in the celebrations, sharing photo moments, and dancing alongside the team in an atmosphere filled with gratitude and unity.
Speaking at the conclusion of the three-hour ward tour, Hon.Adegboyega Rashidat Adewusi thanked residents for their support and participation, which contributed to the success of the initiative. She appreciated the leadership of Otunba Kehinde Oloyede, Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, for fostering a governance culture that encourages legislative initiatives focused on community development, unity, and social inclusion.
She also specially acknowledged Hon. Ajoke Onitolo, Afariogun Councillor, for her unwavering support and visible presence throughout the duration of the event, describing her solidarity as a strong demonstration of teamwork and shared commitment to grassroots development.
This Valentine outreach builds on previous interventions by ARA. In December 2025, she organized a five-day community program in Ewu Ward, featuring a medical outreach, widows’ empowerment scheme, and a Christmas funfair for children.
The business support for petty traders and assistance to the elderly once again underscore Hon. Adegboyega’s commitment to people-centered representation and her drive to promote unity, compassion, and inclusive growth within Ewu Ward.
