 Religious and Political Leaders Converge in Oshodi for Ramadan lecture & Iftar with Ara -Kendoo

The Ramadan Lecture and Iftar organised by Ara Care & Share Initiatives in collaboration with Ara-Kendoo was held at Aina Street, Oshodi, on March 3, 2026.

Chief Imam Abdul Ganiu Aliu Umar (Agbarigidoma) delivered the lecture and led prayers for the late parents of the Chief Host, Hon. Adegboyega Rashidat Adewusi ( Chief B.A. Adegboyega and Madam Sherifat Adegboyega). Prayers were also offered for Oshodi community, government leadership, and residents.

Special prayers were offered for the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede, seeking wisdom and good health in public service.


Speaking on the topic “Importance of Prayer,” the Chief Imam urged Muslims to remain consistent in prayers and uphold the values of Ramadan beyond the fasting period. He emphasized prayer as a central pillar of faith and encouraged increased devotion to Allah.


The programme recorded attendance from Assalatu groups, political stakeholders across the seven wards of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, ward executives, and elected officials including APC LG Chairman Saheed Animashaun, Hon. Ajoke Onitolo, Kazeem Abayomi, Morenikeji Yussuf, Nurudeen Giwa, Abiodun Oduyemi, Education Secretary Hon. Mayowa Alakija, Hon. Fatai Adefemi (P.A to Hon. Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode), Femi Ajayi , Barrister Kayode Makinde, Ola Habeeb Olatunbosun, Basirat Tiamiyu Ajisegiri among others.
