 NFF APPOINTS FINIDI GEORGE AS HEAD COACH FOR SUPER EAGLES  Sports news  The Board of Nigeria Football Federation on Monday approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Committee to appoint former ace winger Finidi George as Head Coach of the Senior Men National Football Team, Super Eagles. BREAKING: Ondo State Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s Campaign Coordinator Assassinated By Babajide Razak Dada Alaba Excel Abbey, one of the campaign coordinators of incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state, has been assassinated. Mr Abbey, who served as a ward coordinator for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot-Soldiers (LACO-SF), was killed at his home in Supare Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area. According to news on social media  the deceased was the returning officer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 10 in the recently concluded primary of the governing party. A younger brother to the deceased, Mr Samuel Abbey, who confirmed the sad development, revealed that the politician was shot at the front of his house.  FORMER AVIATION MINISTER ARRESTED BY EFCC  Former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an ongoing N8,069,176,864.00 money laundering investigation. Sirika arrived at the EFCC’s Federal Capital Territory Command in Abuja around 1:00 pm on Tuesday to meet with investigators. The arrest comes after allegations of fraudulent contracts awarded by Sirika to Engirios Nigeria Limited, a company owned by his younger brother, Abubakar Sirika. Impeccable sources within the anti-graft agency, speaking on the condition of anonymity, confirmed that the ex-minister is being questioned regarding the alleged N8.07 billion aviation ministry contract fraud. According to the EFCC, the aviation ministry contracts were reportedly awarded in collaboration with Sirika’s younger brother, Abubakar Sirika, who serves as a civil servant in the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.   COURT GIVES TEMPORARY RELIEF TO ABDULLAHI GANDUJE  Orders status quo to be maintained  By Dada Babajide Razak  A Federal High Court in Kano has halted the suspension of the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. The ruling came on Wednesday after Ganduje filed an ex parte motion seeking to enforce his fundamental right to fair hearing. On April 16, APC executives in Dawakin Ward, Tofa LGA of Kano State, suspended Ganduje over alleged corruption. However, the State Working Committee, SWC, of the APC in Kano nullified the suspension and punished the ward executives but a Kano High Court presided by Justice Usman Na’Abba upheld the suspension. In the ex parte order delivered on Wednesday by the Federal High Court and made available to newsmen on Thursday, a Kano High Court presided by Justice A. EFCC DECLARES YAHAYA BELLO WHO IS HIDING IN KOGI GOVT HOUSE, WANTED By Dada Babajide Razak  Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is wanted by the EFCC for offences relating to economic and financial crimes to the tune of N80.2 Billion. Anybody with information as to his whereabout should please report immediately to the Commission or the nearest Police Station.  YayaBello was currently assumed to be hiding inside the Kogi Government House under the shield of his co-thief, Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo  The antigraft agency has threaten to use military involvement to arrest him if doesn't present himself to face prosecution . Abuja court affirms Baruwa as NURTW President

 ABUJA COURT AFFIRMS ALHAJI TAJUDEEN IBIKUNLE BARUWA AS NURTW PRESIDENT  A national Industrial court in Abuja on Monday March 11 has affirmed Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa as the validly elected president of National Union of Road Transport workers ( NURTW) and declared Alhaji Tajudeen agbede led chairman Caretaker Committee illegal . The court validated the national delegates conference held on August 23rd in Lafia nasarawa state where Alhaji Baruwa emerged as president with other national officers and inaugurated.  She ruled that there was no evidence of a crisis in the union and therefore there was no basis for the invocation of "doctrine of necessity" which led to the constituting of the so called Caretaker Committee and there fore declared as,illegal, null, void and unconstitutional the national delegates conference held on october 25, 2023 where the so called acting President , Alhaji Isa Ore and his National Administrative council were said to have emerged .
