Kings Sports International, the organizers behind the highly anticipated OBASA GAMES 2024, held a press conference on October 25th, 2024 at Agege Local Government Secretariat unveiling their ambitious plans for the event. 

The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Vinod Obasa the Chairman of Kings Sports International, took to the podium. He announced that the Games, a celebration of athletic prowess and sportsmanship, would feature a diverse range of competitions, including :-football, boxing, table tennis, scrabble, and chess.

The football tournament, a highlight of the event, promises to be a thrilling spectacle, with 32 teams representing the Lagos West Senatorial District vying for the coveted championship title. Meanwhile, the other competitions will see a total of 64 male and female participants showcasing their skills and determination. 

With the stage set and the anticipation building, the Obasa Games 2024 are poised to be a resounding success, bringing together athletes, spectators, and the community in a spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship. 


With these venues strategically chosen, the Obasa Games 2024 promise to be a truly memorable event, showcasing the talent and sportsmanship of the Lagos West Senatorial District across multiple disciplines. 

The upcoming games at Agege Stadium Indoor Sports Hall, scheduled from Monday, December 4th to Friday, December 6th, 2024, promise exciting competition and rewarding prizes. Kings Sports International has announced the following prize structure:

 FOOTBALL

Total Prize Money: N6,000,000

1st Place: N3,000,000

2nd Place:N2,000,000

3rd Place:N1,000,000

Boxing 

(Male & Female Categories):

Total Prize Money:N2,000,000

1st Place:N500,000 + Gift Items

2nd Place:N300,000 + Gift Items

3rd Place:N200,000 + Gift Items


Table Tennis

 (Male & Female Categories):

Total Prize Money:N2,000,000

1st Place:N500,000 + Gift Item

Note: The specific nature of the gift items for boxing and table tennis has not been disclosed.

Ondo state : Gov. Aiyedatiwa campaign coordinator assassinated

BREAKING: Ondo State Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s Campaign Coordinator Assassinated By Babajide Razak Dada Alaba Excel Abbey, one of the campaign coordinators of incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state, has been assassinated. Mr Abbey, who served as a ward coordinator for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot-Soldiers (LACO-SF), was killed at his home in Supare Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area. According to news on social media  the deceased was the returning officer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 10 in the recently concluded primary of the governing party. A younger brother to the deceased, Mr Samuel Abbey, who confirmed the sad development, revealed that the politician was shot at the front of his house. EFCC DECLARES YAHAYA BELLO WHO IS HIDING IN KOGI GOVT HOUSE, WANTED By Dada Babajide Razak  Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is wanted by the EFCC for offences relating to economic and financial crimes to the tune of N80.2 Billion. Anybody with information as to his whereabout should please report immediately to the Commission or the nearest Police Station.  YayaBello was currently assumed to be hiding inside the Kogi Government House under the shield of his co-thief, Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo  The antigraft agency has threaten to use military involvement to arrest him if doesn't present himself to face prosecution .
