Teachers Day Celebration : Progressive Teachers Movement plays Novelty Match

 PROGRESSIVE TEACHERS MOVEMENT , OSHODI-ISOLO ZONE CELEBRATES TEACHERS DAY WITH A NOVELTY MATCH

The Progressive Teachers Movement Oshodi-Isolo Zone continued its pre- Teachers' Day celebrations yesterday with a spirited novelty match at Oshodi High School Football Field. The event saw primary school teachers face off against their secondary school counterparts in a friendly competition, showcasing the camaraderie and dedication within the teaching community. 

This pre-program event served as a fun and engaging way to mark the importance of Teachers' Day, highlighting the vital role teachers play in shaping young minds. The match fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among educators, demonstrating the shared commitment to excellence in education within the Oshodi-Isolo zone. 

The novelty match between primary and secondary school teachers in the Oshodi-Isolo zone was not just a friendly competition, but a testament to the well-rounded nature of the teaching community.

  Dressed in vibrant red and white jerseys, both teams showcased their athletic prowess, proving that teachers are not only academically sound but also physically fit and mentally sharp.

The match was a celebration of camaraderie and brotherhood, fostering a sense of unity among educators.The primary school teachers, clad in red, dominated the first half with skillful play, ultimately securing a 2-1 victory over their secondary school counterparts.The game was filled with fun, laughter, and a spirit of sportsmanship, highlighting the positive impact of such events in uplifting the bond among teachers within the zone. 


The President of the Progressive Teachers Movement, Mr. AKINMADE KAYODE emphasized the importance of fostering unity, understanding, and love among all teachers, regardless of their level within the Lagos education system. 

 Speaking to pressmen after the spirited novelty match, he highlighted this as a key objective of the organization and emphasized that the group is an integral part of Nigeria Teachers Union but would always aggitate for good welfare of members 


He expressed gratitude for the significant contributions of the Lagos State Government, the Ministry of Education, and the Education Permanent Secretary as well as the Education Secretary, to the growth and improvement of public schools in the state. He urged continued support for the education sector, recognizing its vital role in shaping the future of Lagos.
