Seamoriow U15 League Championship, Ikotun, Lagos, Ends in Fireworks as Home Team Runs Riot
The 4th Edition of the Seamoriow Sports U15 League Championship 2025 came to a dramatic close on September 7th at the buzzing Seamoriow Sports Complex, Islamic Bus Stop, Ikotun Egbe It was a festival of football where passion met artistry, and the home team—Seamoriow Sports FA—etched their name in gold, stunning the defending champions with an emphatic 6–1 demolition in front of over 3,000 roaring fans.
The champions-elect had hinted at their fiery form in the semi-finals, where they pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in the tournament’s history. Trailing 3–0 against Adhoc Football Academy, Seamoriow staged an electric fightback to level 3–3 before sealing victory 4–2 on penalties, sending the crowd into wild jubilation
The grand finale was not only a spectacle of football but a community celebration. Among the dignitaries in attendance was Hon. Kehinde Joseph, Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, who pledged unwavering support for grassroots development and praised the organisers for keeping the youths positively engaged through sports. Hon.Kehinde Joseph ( Member LAHA), Adedotun Coker vice Chairman LSFA, Dele Gbajumo Technical Department of youths LSFA, Nduka Ugbade former Nigeria U17 Coach , Olajide Olayinka Fifa also graced the occasion.
The tournament also produced shining stars and unforgettable moments. Seamoriow coach Matthew Tolulope was named Coach of the Tournament, while midfield maestro Sunday Victore emerged as Most Valuable Player. Safe hands Olaoye Kehinde claimed Best Goalkeeper, and Adelowo Qudus stole the spotlight with the Goal of the Tournament.
Grassroots leaders also lent their voices to the celebration. Comrade Raimi Olasunkanmi (ROLAG), Coordinator of the Akinsanya Foot-Soldiers in Igando-Ikotun LCDA, hailed the championship as a beacon of football brilliance and a catalyst for youth development. He congratulated the new champions, expressing hope that Seamoriow FA’s triumph would inspire future stars to represent Lagos and even Nigeria on bigger stages.
