Lagos Legends Light Up Lagos Grassroots Summer Camp with Inspiring Coaching Clinic

The Lagos Legend Club, under the dynamic leadership of Chairman Waheed Akanni, brought a wave of excitement to the Lagos Grassroots Summer Football Camp as they hosted an intensive coaching clinic for eager participants and a few additional invitees who joined through an online call.

In a show of commitment to grassroots development, the former football icons donated branded jerseys to support the initiative championed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Grassroots Sports Development, Bamji Atewogboye.

Led by ex-international Monday Kanu, the Legends split the young footballers into groups, guiding them through fundamental drills, tactical lessons, and motivational talks designed to mold them into future superstars. The club pledged to make the clinic a quarterly program, ensuring continuous support in shaping tomorrow’s football heroes.

The Legends applauded the vision of the Lagos State Government in discovering and nurturing raw talents from the grassroots, while also commending Atewogboye for his tireless drive in creating platforms for youth development.

In his closing remarks, Atewogboye expressed heartfelt gratitude to the ex-Super Eagles stars for enriching the camp with their experience and inspiration, stressing that such collaborations will go a long way in sustaining the state’s football development blueprint.
