PRESS INTERACTION: OGUNDIPE CARES EMPOWERMENT, OSHODI-ISOLO CONSTITUENCY I

Lawmaker links inclusion and party unity to improved voter turnout in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1

Speaking with members of the press during the Ogundipe Cares empowerment initiative in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I, the lawmaker representing the constituency, Hon. Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode, reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to people-centred governance through impactful projects aimed at fulfilling the promises made during the electioneering period.

According to him, sustained engagement with party members and constituents remains central to effective representation. He noted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) continues to enjoy strong grassroots loyalty, adding that feedback from party faithful and residents is consistently taken into account in programme planning.

“Our party men and women have shown unflinching support. We listen to their concerns, and in line with the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our programmes are now more grassroots-oriented, closely supervised, and deliberately inclusive,” he stated.

Hon. Ogundipe observed that low voter turnout in previous elections could be linked to feelings of neglect experienced by some supporters after campaign and election periods. He stressed that this concern has been comprehensively addressed through a renewed framework of inclusion, collaboration, and synergy among elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels.

Expressing optimism ahead of future elections, he projected a significant increase in voter participation and urged party members to take advantage of the forthcoming APC registration exercise. He also encouraged eligible residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing them as a fundamental requirement for meaningful participation in the democratic process.

Hon. Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode continues to make tangible impact across Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I through strategic interventions and quality service delivery. Notably, he recently facilitated a medical and cancer awareness programme involving over 35 medical professionals, including specialist surgeons from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), supported with modern medical equipment.
